NEW YORK CITY

IMG_5532

Hi my loves, I am back again and so much has happened ever since the last published post! I've been working on content from USA to India to Hong Kong and Indonesia, but here's one from New York!

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING

I partnered with KKday Singapore for this travel experience in NYC! New York ain't complete without views from both the Empire State Building and Top of the Rock, I went up to the Top of the Rock to have a sunset view of the Empire State building, and up the Empire State after to have a night view of the entire city.

I've always loved New York City even before visiting it (I guess Gossip Girl had a huge influence on this), and after my second visit there, I can confirm that it is indeed one of my favorite cities in the world. There is this unexplainable energy in the city that brings out the best in me, I feel alive and inspired. Which city or country does that for you?

We're finally on the third part of #Amegoesroundtheworld! Always thankful that traveling is now a part of my work and I love every minute of what I do. Always believe in what you do, and don't let anyone else's doubt affect you. Most importantly, don't just dream it, chase it. No one tells you what to do but you.

ON FLEEK!

IMG_5532
Hello my loves! Don't you just love it if you didn't have to spend that extra 5-10 minutes on your beauty regime every morning? I spend a lot less time getting ready as I don't have to worry about my brows at all! I partnered with Browhaus Singapore to take care of my brows before leaving for my road trip, and boy getting ready in the morning has been such a breeze. I feel like brows are the most important feature to a person's face, can you imagine a world without eyebrows. I'm sure we've all seen this image before.

What is Brow Resurrection?
Brow Resurrection is a semi-permanent treatment that creates realistic hair strands from root to tip to give you perfect brows! Unique only to Browhaus, this treatment uses an advance embroidery technique to create natural-looking strokes, resulting in a finer finish compared to other semi-permanent brow treatments that simply weave in parallel hair strands.

The post-treatment TLC kit

1. Cleansing agent: BUILD
2. Anti-Scarring Balm: FIX
3. Brow Rescue: BROW DEFINER (Brow powder, while stocks last!)

I used these after-care products diligently for 2 weeks after my treatment and I experienced very little scabbing and itching. There were definitely no scars involved.

The Brow Resurrection Treatment
IMG_5532
(L-R)

1. Digitalised consultation aka Brow Print, with my brow specialist before treatment. (Photo shows my natural brows)
2-3. My brow specialist, Lucy drawing the desired shape with a pencil.
4. Numbing cream for a painless process.
5. Blading begins!

I was taken great care of during my entire time spent at Browhaus, and I have to say the specialists are very professional and well trained. I don't really have sparse brows to begin with, but I wasn't great at drawing my brows either. That is the main reason why I decided to go for this treatment, and it was honestly the best decision! There are 4 types of BR: Classic | Soft | Full | Ombre. For those wondering, I went for BR Ombre! For more information on Brow Resurrection: Click here

For those excited to try out BR, you can get a BR Classic treatment with an aftercare system for $850 (Up $1200, aftercare system at $160.50 sold separately) Quote 'Amelyn' at any Browhaus outlet to get your brows on fleek!

Hello my loves.
Let me just start by saying how much I'm in love with LA, it's such a dream. There's this buzz of electricity and inspiration all around when I'm in this city. You know that good feeling a place gives you? LA is that for me. LA was the first stop of our road trip before hitting Vegas, and I had to visit one of my favorite places in my new dress from REVOLVE. I think I've said this before but REVOLVE has the prettiest dresses for everyone and anyone. From the kind that makes you want to twirl under LA lights to being the light of the party yourself, REVOLVE's definitely got you covered!

Hello my loves, hi from Brooklyn! As you might have known from my Instagram updates, I've been on the best road trip adventure – crazy journey but so worth it! Being constantly on the move made it a little hard to blog, but I'm back now with updates from my journey! We spent our last few days exploring Brooklyn before flying home to California. I wore this gorgeous maxi dress to battle the heat wave in New York. Loveee the asymmetrical hem, the slit and cold-shoulder feature, definitely warm-weather appropriate. I've been adding a little too many maxi dresses into my wardrobe lately, can't help but love them! Easy, effortless yet so versatile.

THE SUMMER FROCK

IMG_5532 IMG_5532 IMG_5532

If there was a type of dress I could own during the summer, (in my case, it's summer all year round..) it would be an off shoulder dress. It is incredibly hot in Singapore right now, I guess that makes it the perfect opportunity to get a little sun-kissed with an off shoulder number. I paired this dress with my current favourite pair of slides from ALDO and I borrowed my Mom's straw bag to complete this look. Aren't slides the best thing ever created? I love how they are so effortless yet versatile, favourite footwear for warmer days.

IMG_5532 IMG_5532 IMG_5532

I've worn this Tularosa dress a number of times and I find myself reaching for it whenever I'm out for a quick lunch or meeting. I am hopeless when it comes to anything crochet, it is definitely my weakness. Did I mention that they have a similar style here and a pop of yellow version too? And if you're in the mood for more crochet, this little crop top and romper from REVOLVE are perfect pieces for your summer wardrobe!

And we're back on the streets of Amsterdam! With the crazy heat going on in Singapore, double denim is definitely out of the equation. But if there was one wardrobe essential I could choose to wear despite it being crazy warm or cold, it would be a good ol' pair of mom jeans. I've lost count of the number of outfits I've styled with mom jeans, it's honestly my favourite type of jeans ever. When I saw this pair from Primark, I fell in love with the cut, the wash and... the price. Primark is honestly the best place to shop in Europe. I bought a whole bunch of stuff ranging from clothes to homeware, and I wanted to show you guys what I bought so I filmed a haul! It will be up on my YouTube channel by the end of the month. Don't forget to subscribe so you won't miss it!

Bonjour! I couldn't help myself but to dress like a Parisian, switching up my bakerboy hat with a beret would have been a better option, but I love my bakerboy hat a little too much. I wore this Lovers + Friends tee while exploring Paris - searching for the best pain au chocolat, sightseeing at the Eiffel Tower and visiting the Louvre, it was a day to remember. More visuals on Paris will be up soon, stay with me loves! Meanwhile, you can watch my Disneyland Paris video here!

AT HOME IN HOVE,

IMG_5532 IMG_5532 IMG_5532 IMG_5532
Today I'm sharing another Airbnb worth checking out if you're ever in Hove, Brighton! This little loft had everything we needed (including an en suite), it was perfect. If you can't already tell from the photos, the bed is extremely comfortable – there were some days where Dan and I were really tempted to just stay in. Our host, Debbie, was really sweet and friendly. She recommended cafes and restaurants that were nearby, which was so helpful. (more on that below) The 2 things I loved most about this loft was that it was so full of light, and that the beach was just a 10 minutes walk away! I love choosing Airbnb over hotels while traveling as it's an opportunity to meet new people, and to experience how the locals live. You can check out Debbie's lovely loft here and here's $50 travel credit on your first Airbnb stay!

We decided to head into a little cafe that's just down the road called The Hidden Pantry. How was it? Well, let's just say we ended up eating our breakfast there every morning, for the next 5 days. Hands down, the best hot chocolate I've had. I tried 3 different hot chocolates - Hot Chocolate Drop (with white chocolate buttons), Hot Chocolate Crush (with crushed Maltesers, above) and the original Hot Chocolate (right). Definitely recommending the Hot Chocolate Crush and the Croissant with Smoked Salmon, Avocado and Chives, you can check out the breakfast menu here!
